Great Toshiba Tivo/DVD unit - dvd recorders with hard disk drive Toshiba RS-TX60 DVD Recorder with 160 GB TiVo Series2 Digital Video Recorder
I, the SD-H400 Toshiba RS-Tx60 Updated 2 weeks ago. In addition to the opportunity to continue with the basic TiVo service, which is free (excluding the cost of calls to a local number that gives information about the program), the following additional benefits:
1. Tivo hard drive seems impossible to large bridge. I know one day to 200 hours will seem too small, but at the moment seems endless.
2. Tivo'd copy programs on DVD-R or DVD-RW. As you travel a lot, I can make my DVD-R, and a card with the portable DVD player or laptop. I have no problem playing DVD-R on other computers. I worry a little about what happens when the program is about 2 hours (limit of what is recorded on a single DVD-R in high quality mode), but the unit is fully seamless 1 DVD-R, and thereafter another with the rest of the recorded program.
Create a 2-DVD-R hour 45 minutes, 30 minutes DVD-R, 20 minutes. The screen on the original estimate is still 57 minutes for DVD-R, but lessslightly faster than real time. At the same time, the display unit shows it, record what percentage of the DVD.
3. The unit is much quieter than SD-H400.
4. Synchronization of audio and pixelation on occasion complaints nor the new unit.
I've also noticed that some complaints in the new drive:
1. The remote control is not as logical as the SD-H400 seems. The two proceed to leap forward / skip button, replaced by a "leap forward than backward." Buttons Live TV Guide have been combined into one. The Stop and Pause buttons are found in unexpected places, but I think it's just a matter of getting used to it. Worse, there is no sleep button on the remote control to navigate the menus or break up and push the button on the device itself! If so, I would turn off the audio system (I continue forever), or the TV sound all the time. (Incidentally, the device is activated by simply pressing the button on the Tivo remote).
2. The letter TiVo screen is slightly smaller and more attenuated, so it is harder to read on a 27 "TV.
Overall I am very satisfied with the product, and I recommend it.The letter TiVo screen is slightly smaller and more attenuated, so it is harder to read on a 27 "TV.
