I bought this video camera zoom in on the election, compared with others in its price class. I could start recording with the camcorder out of the box. It is very easy to configure and quickly review the answers to all your questions guide. I have not used the software, but could use the USB cable to transfer videos to your computer in minutes. The sound was fantastic and the video looked better than expected. In general, it is a great camcorder, easy to configure, easy to use. I would be an additional battery, it takes with the recommended 90 min.
