Big storage, some frills, external power - seagate freeagent disk 1tb external usb 2.0 hard drive Seagate FreeAgent 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive ST310005FDA1E1-RK
I had this week for 3 *, because I save a different backup my family photos and some videos of the most interesting (always, what really interested me in many units would continue to be adequately separated from each other). I can not think of all the major issues are minor and the only light that glows orange when the drive is accessed - Yes, we know the data is read or written to disk in the computer - and external power.
Overall impression: Easy to install. I plugged in and ... I was on my Windows machine. The unit comes with backup software, but I like to take control of me, so I can not say that bothered me a try. It is good to know he is there, however. The size is reasonable - not even the smallest external hard drive that can be imagined, but not great either.
Oh, and the price is high. In fact, I only regret not buying from Amazon, because it happens that I paid too much elsewhere. It is also possible that the price has dropped since I ordered.
For concLude: If you save a relatively large amount of data, or whether the pictures and some videos have to save it, so that's what you need. If you need a backup of 10,000 photos from her family album, you can use a smaller unit, but given the price ... Why not buy? I'm sure it will be considered a single 5 "relatively low" taken years to be considered, but until then all the required data will be supported for maintenance.
Oh, I forgot, you get a "free" USB 2.0 cable in the box.
