It is a light, red, green or yellow displays.
Red - means that it is prepared to
Amber - I'm not sure what that means.
Green - Ready to use (connected).
One day after connecting to my PC, the red light was a bit more than usual. When the green finally came, I was able to browse the contents, but do not open or write to the drive.
I tried it on other computers that are in some of them with the same symptoms in the other ... was not even recognized.
Was returned to Amazon for a refund (which certainly is not that a replacement).
Coming soon ... You get what you pay for.
